Do Google Like me?

I stopped worrying too much about what people think of me many years ago, but a few months back I had some concerns. I knew I wouldn’t be spending much time on my sites but had real concerns how this could effect my site statistics. I had a steady stream of visitors to my blog most of which arrived via google using organic seo methods, not thousands but non the less relevant visitors which I had worked hard to achieve, but knowing I wouldn’t be spending much time blogging, writing original content I had visions of all my visitors vanishing!.

Something quite ironic happened.

My website traffic actually increased!, every now and again I checked my analytics and sure enough, slowly but surely my visitor count started to increase.

I can’t quite figure this out, in fact about six months ago I had read somewhere about the same happening to someone else, but I didn’t quite believe it. It goes against what I had always believed in….the more you blog the more visitors you get. The less you blog the less visitors google send!

I usually don’t tend to worry too much about Google changes, my theory is Google constantly strive to find genuine, unique relevant content, and as long as I keep that in mind, I won’t go far wrong, as I progress, so will my seo skills, but for now my main focus is quality unique content.

I really don’t know, all I know is that the world didn’t END when I stopped blogging. Like I thought it would!

Google still like me, (or my content!)
